Program / Event Coordinator

Eastern Divide Brewing, our latest brewery and collaborative event space in the Never River Valley, is searching for a creative, energetic, dynamic individual to program and coordinate all on-site customer activity. This position will be responsible for the management of all private events, as well as our monthly calendar of ongoing house-sponsored activities. Our new 12,000 sf facility can host up to 250 guests indoors, has an expansive outdoor area, full catering kitchen and craft beer tasting room, and will provide an excellent venue for a variety of events in the NRV.

The Event Coordinator will ensure excellence in customer service throughout the entire guest experience. We seek a passionate individual who can manage the logistics of large, private parties while exhibiting first class customer service throughout. The successful candidate will work closely with the management team, and have opportunities to take on additional responsibilities as our family of local craft breweries continues to grow.

Responsibilities:

 
  • Manage the entire event lifecycle, from marketing and booking, to production and follow up for all private events (weddings, corporate meetings, banquets, etc).

  • Develop creative marketing and sales techniques to attract private event clients.

  • Foster relationships with local makers and other regional craft brewers in order to create an all-inclusive, community-oriented schedule of public events.

  • Work closely with General Manager to create, develop and produce an ongoing schedule of house sponsored events/activities, such as barbeques, concerts, fund raisers, event series, etc.  

  • Responsible for all scheduling of event hall and tasting room activities, including regular live music.

  • Maintain timely, accurate, and well documented information for all events.


Requirements:

 
  • 40 hrs / week - must be flexible. Evening and weekend hours often required during event production.
  • Excellent interpersonal and social skills, must be able to interact positively with a wide variety of people.
  • Dynamic, energetic, passionate, and self-motivated. Must be detail oriented, creative and flexible.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Excellent organizational skills, time management, and follow-through.  

  • Ability to coordinate a wide variety of events to meet the client’s needs and exceed their expectations.

  • Ability to handle difficult situations/people with grace and charm.

  • Competent in use of social media to promote public events and attract private clients.

  • Computer proficiency, excellent basic math skills, ability to operate a POS system.

  • Ability to keep accurate written and computer records.

  • Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time.

  • Position occasionally requires physical labor during event production, including carrying up to 10-40 lbs.


Experience:

 
  • Minimum one (1) year large scale event coordination experience.

  • Minimum three (3) years experience in front of house or equivalent position.

  • High School Diploma required, Bachelor’s degree preferred.
